About Us
Becky and Roger are both electrical engineers that have always believed that there is more to life than work (formal work, that is). Becky works for ATK, and Roger previously worked for Honeywell, NetStar/Ascend Communications, and Seagate Technology.
After graduating from college in Madison, Wisconsin, each obtained a private pilot’s certificate and proceeded to delve neck-deep into full-scale aircraft projects. Becky bought and rebuilt a 1947 Aeronca Super Chief from the frame up (which later won Reserve Grand Champion at Oshkosh), and Roger built a Pitts S-1T biplane ( which also won an award that unfortunately stands about 4” shorter than Becky’s ... but the Pitts goes 100 mph faster.).
After completing the airplanes they began to have more time to spend with old and new hobbies. These included collecting and restoring antique slot machines, acoustic guitar, photography, amateur astronomy, screenprinting, fabricating neon tubes, carousel horse carving, casting and plating metal, making stained glass artwork and windows, vacuum forming, RC, landscape gardening, and dog training. The interests that seem to have stuck through the years are guitar (for Roger), gardening (for Becky) and dogs and RC flying (for both).
Roger and Becky currently live with their three dogs, Nikki, Riley, and Cody, and the fond memories of Kindy and Nika.
