Channel Frequencies

Here's a list of frequencies for the 72 MHz Aircraft channels. There's an easy way to calculate frequency from the channel number, and vice versa.

Convert Channel Number to Frequency:

72.xx0 MHz, where xx = (channel number x 2) -21

Multiply the channel number times two and then subtract 21.  This number follows the decimal point.  For example, convert channel 56.  56 x 2 = 112.  Subtracting 21 gives you 91.  The frequency is 72.910 MHz.

Convert Frequency to Channel Number:

Channel number= (xx + 21) /2  where xx represents the two numbers following the decimal in the frequency.

Add 21 to the two numbers following the decimal point in the frequency.  Divide this sum by two to get the channel number.
